Over and out

Back in Sweden so who knows what will happen with this blog. Perhaps it will continue, perhaps it will die. Time will sure tell. Bye for now.

Tears bucketing down and excess luggage

Omg, I never thought I would feel that sad as I felt today when I said goodbye to everyone. Almost everyone was crying when we were hugging each other. The worst part was that I couldn't stop. I had tears in my eyes all the way to my house. Then at least it stopped so my hostfamily didn't have to think I was a biq psycho. While a lot of people went to Brighton I had to go home and pack. I was sort of the only one who hadn't packed a single thing of the ones who were leaving tomorrow. Well, now I know at least why I had postponed it. I have 5 kg excess luggage although I have posted home around 15 kg alreday. It's utter madness! Can't believe how I have mangaged to collect this much? Sure I have bought quite a lot of things but I definitely didn't think it was as much as that. It's my own fault so I guess I just have to swallow the bitter pill.

Sofia weekend with some food and some more food and food again

It felt like the whole time Sofia was here the only thing we were deciding was where to go and eat but I am glad. As you know I love food and Sofia has really increased here liking. She can even eat red onions now and that is big :)
Well, so what have we been doing?
- Walking in to Brighton along the seafront
- Strolling around in the Lanes and North Lanes
- Days, pizza buffé, italian restaurant, cafés, pubfood
- Some clubbing and pubs :)
- Speaking exam (okey just me not Sofia, what she did during that time I have no idea ;))
- Shopping (well mostly me I have to admit but at least I have found a dress for the graduation party now, among all other things I bought :P)
- Brighton Pier
- dance machine (or whatever they are called with these carpets with steps on)
- Cyber shop (Sofia and I tried on these extreme dresses with neon colours. The shop assistant look at us angry when we ventured close to the fitting room. "It is a tenner deposit and you can't take pictures". Wtf, that was what we wanted to do :P)
- Yoga and English lessons (Sofia was forced to join me at school but I think she liked the yoga at least :))
- Rain, rain and some more rain (I think the weather is having a payback for all the lovely weather we had the first three months)

It is only less than a week left now in England, if feels so strange. I am gonna miss the country so much but it is gonna be very nice to finally be able to live alone again.

Returning from the dead, yet again ;P

The trip to London was really great. As I said in the previous text I went to Tate Modern and the Parliament on the Friday. Both locations were much more exciting than I had thought. They had a really good exhibiton on pop art at Tate Modern which I really liked. On Friday evening was it time for the opera-ballet which Niklas had so kindly arranged for me, Sara, Fanny, Anneli and Ruth. To our surprise started the dancers undressing at one point, just like that with no forewarning which gave us all a good laught. It didn't last too long though and soon they were back in their clothes.
Ncklas and I went to the National History Museum on Saturday morning. One thing I have learnt is that a lot of the museums in London is so massive, you could spend days there. Unfortunatley I didn't have that much time but I think I saw quite much at The Science Museum, British Museum and Imperial War Museum during the weekend. It is so nice with the musem here since all state owned museums are for free (in contrast to the Swedish ones who started charging for admittance when we changed the ruling parties *grr*).
My biggest mission for Saturday wasn't the National History Museum though. It was time for Friskis! It was so lovely to exercise to right bmp and with a proper warm up and agility as well. I am still treasuring that moment :)

I have also participated in my first sing along. Bunch of us gathered at school and sang to the film Mamma Mia. Althought I can't sing it was really nice.

Last Saturday was it time for Lucia Celebrations. Haven't had any christmas feelings before that but after they were just bubbling around in my body. We hade a proper "Luciatåg, kanelbullar, lussekattor, pepparkakor, julgodis" and a really strong "glögg". Oh it was so cozy.

On the Sunday went some of us with the school's minibus to Cambridge. It was raining quite much but I still got a very good impression of the city.

Well time is running out and I don't have time to write so much more. Will just list some more things I have done since the last time I wrote
- Folk music concert at school
- Farewell party (the folk musicians are leaving earlier so we had to have it this week)
- Visit to the court (with school, not as a criminal :P)

Tomorrow is the big day, Sofia is arriving. Looking forward to it. The weather could have been better but England is England and rain is just what you get this time of year :P And we had suchgood weather in the beginning and all the way through to late October so it was bound to start raining some time.
On Sunday is it time for my speaking part of the Cambridge exam and on Wednesday the other parts. Cross your fingers for me, I need it.
Love
